Occupational Health and Safety Management This standard is positioned to replace the currently popular OHSAS18001 standard, and the ultimate goal of Huizhou Ruisi Management Consulting Co., Ltd. is still to improve the existing occupational health and safety performance. ISO45001 will be easier to integrate with other ISO management system standards such as ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015.
In the new standards, an organization will not only focus on its immediate health and safety issues, but will also consider greater societal expectations. Organizations need to consider their subcontractors and suppliers, as well as the impact their own work may have on neighboring areas.
Due to the increasing globalization and global trade, Huizhou Ruisi Management Consulting Co., Ltd. has organized stakeholders who hope that the organization will demonstrate ethical behavior in all aspects of its business, especially in its treatment of employees. ISO 45001 will provide these organizations with an internationally recognized occupational health and safety standard to follow. This standard not only provides formal system specifications for analyzing and managing risks, but also provides standards for managing regulatory compliance, enhancing workplace safety, and evaluating occupational health and safety performance. These system methods are beneficial for reducing the number of accidents and ultimately reducing commercial threats.
In order to meet international demands and requirements, over 50 countries and organizations, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), have participated in the relevant work of ISO 45001. Its goal is to provide a tool that an organization can use, which can be used by any industry and can be used worldwide.
Organizations that have obtained OHSAS18001 certification can remain unchanged until the end of the conversion period after the publication of ISO45001 standard. Intertek will work with existing customers to ensure a smooth transition to ISO 45001 in appropriate circumstances.
